After
the user has logged into the system they are presented the screen to
the right.
|
|
|
|
|
The
rights the user has will determine what options are presented, if the
user is a
hostess the only screen available to them is the hostess screen. Only
user with
manager or administrator rights can see all of the programs at once,
but only
administrators can make changes to system variables.
With the hostess screen a
hostess can check in a customer or make reservation for a walk-in
if there
is a table available. The information on the customer is printed out on
a receipt
printer and given to the waiter, so he/she knows any important
information about
that customer.

The
reservations page displays a calendar so the person making the
reservations can
check any date that is built into the database, if you want to have
reservations
available 10 days out or 100 days out, it's up to the management. If
the time
slot is available the that number of guests, double click on the time
and a
customer select screen comes up. If the customer is in the database you
can
either edit existing information or use the current information on the
customer.
Of course if they are not in the database they can be added.

Once
a time slot is reserved it is removed from the system unless the
customer
cancels then it is returned for use.

|
The
is a conformation screen so you can have someone calling the customers
and
verifying that they are coming on that day.
